| Named after James Jackson, Governor of the State of Georgia, Jackson County was created on February 11, 1796. Located at 5000 Jackson Parkway, Jefferson, the Superior Court presides over jury trials, rules on evidence, hears motions, and renders verdicts in bench trials. Each Superior Court Judge is a constitutional officer elected to four-year terms of office. Terms of Court commence on the first Monday of February and the first Monday of August each year |
