Superior Courts of Elbert County
 

Created December 10, 1790, Elbert County was named after Samuel Elbert, Governor of the State of Georgia. Located at 45 Forest Avenue, Elberton, the Superior Court of Elbert County presides over jury trials, rules on evidence, hears motions, and renders verdicts in bench trials. Each Superior Court Judge is a constitutional officer elected to four-year terms of office.

Terms of Court of Elbert County commence on the 3rd Monday in January and 4th Monday in July.
